Jacquie O'Neill turned her passion for fashion, figure drawing and the dream of seeing her illustrations on covers in high street bookshops, packages in retailers and filling the pages of the magazines at news stands, into reality over the last two decades. Originally running her illustration studio in Chiswick, London Jacquie created characters for projects ranging from the Cannes Film Festival, World Rally Championships, a series of illustrated families for British Rail's Group Save Campaign that are on platforms from Waterloo to Edinburgh, and Headmasters Hair's youthful sassy Poppy character that adorns their window posters, billboards and ads on buses and taxis..
Jacquie then moved her family and studio to the beautiful Cornish Coast, a stones throw from Padstow, Rock, Polzeath and the amazing Watergate Bay. At the same time she won with her first children's commission from Harper Collins to illustrate the Meg Cabot series 1-800-Where-R-You for the American market. This then led to a complete a range of girls cards for SoulTrader UK, closely followed by commissions from Eaglemoss for the Barbie partwork magazine, Warner Entertainment for the Love:Ballet CD and for Dreamworks' KungFu Panda Flash game for Nickelodeon. 2010 will mark the worldwide launch of the Reebok Girls 'Sweet and Spice' Campaign throughout shops, advertising and editorials across the globe.
She has just recently completed the illustrations for the Penguin Young Readers Figure Skating Sticker Stories book which will be out in January 2010 to coincide with the Winter Olympics.
